In this role, you will support Project Management Teams in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Project Safety Management Standard (PSMS). You will partner with project leaders and contractors to advance safety performance, strengthen compliance, and proactively identify and mitigate critical risks involving high-energy hazards using Energy-Based Safety principles and Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention strategies.

What You Will Do:
- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Project safety programs while supporting compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- With a laser focus on SIF Prevention, evaluate contractor safety programs and partner with leaders to identify, assess, and control high-energy hazards throughout project planning and execution.
- Provide technical safety expertise, coaching, and guidance to operational leaders, managers, and safety representatives to strengthen safety performance and accountability.
- Support incident, near-miss, and high-potential event investigations and recommend corrective actions that drive organizational learning.
- Conduct audits, assessments, and assurance activities to evaluate program effectiveness, support regulatory interactions, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Drive safety excellence initiatives, facilitate stakeholder engagement, lead problem-solving efforts, and promote operational excellence across project teams.
Who You Are:
- Educated with a related degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)/Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressively responsible health and safety experience.
- Collaborative with demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, facilitate change, solve complex problems, and deliver results across multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in Health and Safety regulatory frameworks, Human and Organizational Performance principles, and safety management best practices.
- Technically proficient with Microsoft Office applications, contractor management platforms such as ISNetworld, and related company systems and databases.
- Effective in communication, organization, and independent decision-making, possessing a valid driver's license and the ability to travel, including internationally with a valid passport.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment.
- Moderate travel (~20%). Ability to travel and work throughout Canada and United States. Valid passport is required.
- A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.
