Data Engineer (GCP / BigQuery)

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a collaborative Agile team focused on building scalable data solutions that power analytics and AI-driven initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern data pipelines, cloud technologies, and enterprise-scale data environments while contributing to innovative customer-focused solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data-driven applications
- Build and optimize solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery environments
- Support the movement of data from enterprise data lakes into analytics and AI platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and testing innovative solutions
- Ensure best practices for data engineering, security, quality, and performance
- Support analytics teams by enabling reliable and accessible data solutions
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working in GCP and BigQuery environments
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spark, Sqoop, Oozie, and Control-M
- Strong SQL, Unix, and Shell scripting skills
- Understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, OLAP, and OLTP architectures
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Domo
- Ability to leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and accelerate delivery
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms and big data technologies
