The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team is hiring an Environmental Analyst on a temporary up to 20-month basis within at the Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) in Regina, Saskatchewan.
This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.
We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented environmental professional who is passionate about sustainability, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement. In this role, you'll contribute to environmental programs and projects that support safe, responsible, and compliant operations across the Complex while developing your expertise alongside experienced environmental professionals.
What you’ll do:
- Support environmental management of CRC’s Permit to Operate through investigation, technical analysis, reporting, environmental documentation, and compliance initiatives.
- Monitor environmental programs and activities to ensure compliance with CRC’s Permit to Operate and applicable environmental regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing air, soil, water and waste monitoring programs.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices, emerging trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental programs and processes.
- Provide technical environmental expertise and support to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and maintain awareness of existing, new, and evolving environmental regulations and reporting requirements and industry best practices.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by following and promoting safe work practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The Team: You will work closely with the Environmental Affairs, Process Safety, and Safety teams, as well as internal Process and Maintenance stakeholders, and external contractors. The team strives to cultivate a culture of safety, knowledge-sharing, accountability, and support.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) & Sustainability and:
- Have 1-3 years of related environmental experience.
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and communication skills.
- Are familiar with environmental regulations, compliance reporting, and environmental monitoring programs.
