As a Financial Analyst reporting to our VP of Finance, you'll translate business operations into actionable financial insights that guide our executive team and help Fitness World grow.
What You'll Do
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze company financial results - KPIs, margins, pricing, sales trends - and distill what the numbers mean for our business
- Own daily, weekly, and monthly financial analyses using Fitness World data to identify cost efficiencies and performance improvements
- Prepare weekly cash flow projections, monthly bonus and commission calculations, and operational reports
Strategic Support
- Partner with department managers and our Senior Accountant on budget and forecast development
- Build financial models, forecasts, and scenarios to evaluate new projects and investment opportunities
- Support cross-functional departments in developing and executing strategy, projects, and initiatives
- Identify KPI trends and create action plans to move performance in the right direction
What You'll Bring
- University degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent professional experience)
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally in a multi-unit or multi-location environment
- Advanced Excel skills - you're comfortable building complex models and automating analyses
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and how to communicate financial stories to non-financial audiences
- Sharp attention to detail; accuracy is non-negotiable
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred (Not Required)
- CPA, CFA, or other professional accounting designation
- Experience in the fitness, retail, or hospitality industry
