Junior Accountant Co-op to join our dynamic Accounting team at our Richmond head office starting
January 2027!
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world accounting experience in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment. You’ll work approximately 20 hours per week while balancing your studies - perfect for someone eager to apply classroom learning to meaningful work.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key support to our accounting operations, you’ll get hands-on experience with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Handling full-cycle accounts payable
- Ensuring timely and accurate bank payments
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and preparing account schedules
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
- Collaborating with team members to meet critical financial deadlines
- Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Contributing to audits by verifying financial transactions and documents
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations, and data confidentiality
- Supporting database backup processes
- Taking on additional projects and duties as needed - no two days are the same!
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary accounting or finance program and in your 4th year of study
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (bonus if you love pivot tables!)
- A self-starter with excellent attention to detail and time management
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in a team setting
