- Create, maintain, and regularly update the vendor database.
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with project goals.
- Define and apply key supply chain KPIs to evaluate vendor performance across active projects.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with key subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment and performance.
- Support procurement and estimating teams in preparing and issuing requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Identify, assess, and qualify new vendors to expand and strengthen the supply chain network.
- Review, adapt, and tailor subcontract and supply contract templates to meet specific project requirements.
- Contribute to the development of company-wide procurement templates and best practices.
- Assist in negotiating high-risk or complex contracts to ensure favorable terms and risk mitigation.
- Resolve escalated, disputed, or complex contractual issues with vendors or subcontractors.
- Negotiate and establish supplier-specific framework agreements to streamline future engagements.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Machinery Department to support equipment procurement needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Commerce or Economics
- 5-10 years of experience as Subcontractor Procurement Management in heavy civil works & buildings
- Experience, familiarity, and existing relationship with major local suppliers and subcontractors in Quebec would be an asset
- Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, and contract administration as well as accounting and scheduling principles
- Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office and specialized procurement software
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives
- Fluency in both French and English is required
- Ability to work productively with nominal supervision
- Availability to travel to monitor supplier’s performance, production and schedules as needed
