We are located in London Ontario and have been serving our clients for more than ten years. We have an opening for an office-based position in the City Centre. The successful candidate will have experience in all areas of accounting and a good working knowledge of HR related issues and proficient using QuickBooks in a growing multi-currency and multi-company environment.
Job Details
- Handle all accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions ensuring that correct accounting and tax codes are recorded
- Handle all aspects of payroll including ROE’s, government remittances, year-end filing of T4s and benefit plan administration
- Be proficient in online payment methodologies for payroll, bill payment and remittances
- File GST/HST returns in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepare financial statements by collecting, analyzing and cross-checking data in a timely manner
- Prepare year-end working papers to send to appointed accountants for completion of year-end financial reports and tax returns
- Problem-solve and provide follow-up to queries on any issues that arise
- Maintain historical data records in electronic form
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a strong financial and accounting background.
- An accounting designation would be preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks and computer literacy skills entire Microsoft Office suite
- Must have knowledge of HST/GST tax rules in a multi-province and multi-country environment
- Knowledge of payroll, ROE’s, T4’s and government remittance requirements
- Must be a reliable team player
- Proven written and verbal communication skills are required
- Attention to detail and complete accuracy is essential
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
