Location: Haliburton, Ontario (in person)

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience.

As the heart of our kitchen, you will oversee all food preparation, ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service. Your leadership will drive innovation in menu development, maintain operational excellence, and foster a vibrant, collaborative kitchen environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing a bustling restaurant environment with energy and enthusiasm.

Duties

Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends while maintaining quality standards and cost controls.
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks, prep chefs, and food handlers, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery, including supporting bartending and serving staff as needed.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively to maximize efficiency.
Maintain a lively, positive kitchen atmosphere that motivates staff and encourages creativity.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting with a focus on culinary operations.
Extensive food preparation skills with a strong background in cooking techniques across diverse cuisines.
Demonstrated food service experience within the food industry, including restaurant management or similar roles.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff members at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen safety standards, and sanitation regulations.
Experience in restaurant experience or hospitality environments that emphasize customer satisfaction.
Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills to foster collaboration among team members.
Additional skills such as bartending or serving experience are considered valuable assets.
