Credit analyst

The company is looking for a Credit Analyst for its GTA-based customers.
The credit analyst is responsible for undertaking administrative support for the Credit Manager, notably in dealing with accounts receivable and credit issues for the clientele of our Ontario branches.
The main responsibilities for this position are :
- Communicating with clients (telephone, mail or internet) to advise them when payments are delayed and their account is in bad standing and following up on this when a response is not issued;
- Recommend new initiatives or the suspension of purchasing abilities, if payments are not made;
- Analyze and approve orders, in following the established guidelines and in the time required;
- Effectuate the analysis of and proceed with the preliminary checks for new client accounts;
- Respond to mail, manage reports and keep up to date the registers and files relating to the recovery process;
- Assimilate the accounts receivable transactions, calculate, prepare and transmit documents associated with the accounts (statements of accounts, copies of invoices, denunciation forms for projects and receipts) via computer;
- Respond to information requests from clients; keeping a good rapport with them and helping to resolve their credit issues by making an arrangement with them;
- Effectuate other office tasks, such as word processing, Microsoft Teams, upkeep of files and filing, faxing and e-mailing, photocopying, etc.
Requirements for this position are :
- College Degree in accounting;
- 3 to 5 years experience in this field;
- Results-oriented;
- Team spirit and sense of collaboration;
- Sense of urgency;
- Strong communication skills, courtesy and diplomacy;
- Good understanding of computers and the MS-Office suite (Basic Word and Excel understanding, an asset);
- Understanding of the construction industry (an asset).
