About the role
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of Future’s enterprise cloud ecosystem, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. This role acts as a bridge in our hybrid environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises legacy systems and modern cloud-native solutions.
As a senior technical lead, you will oversee cloud governance and provide expert-level support for our Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and Intune environments. You will play a functional role in mentoring team members and spearheading strategic projects to ensure high availability, robust security, and global scalability.
What you’ll be working on
🔷 Senior Cloud Specialist & Hybrid Integration
Azure: Design and deploy highly available infrastructure within Azure, ensuring alignment with cloud governance and Well-Architected Framework standards.
Modernization: Orchestrate the migration of on-premises infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) where required.
Modern Management: Work closely with the O365 team in technologies like:
- Microsoft Intune, overseeing global device enrollment, configuration profiles, and application deployments.
- Identity & Entra ID: Manage identity and access across hybrid environments, specializing in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), B2B/B2C, and Conditional Access policies
- M365 Ecosystem: Advanced configuration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams (including Phone System), and SharePoint/OneDrive.
- Azure AVS
🛡️ Identity, Security & Governance
- Maintain and optimize Azure IaaS for enterprise-scale security by implementing robust subscription governance, enforcing resource tags and Azure Policies for compliance, and utilizing a well-structured Resource Group hierarchy to ensure granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and cost management.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage PowerShell and Python to automate repetitive tasks, deployments, and system audits.
- Incident Response: Collaborate with the Security Operations team to resolve complex security incidents and conduct vulnerability assessments.
👥 Mentorship & Operational Leadership
- Technical Leadership: Develop operational procedures and technical documentation to "operationalize" new cloud services.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior and mid-level system administrators.
- Escalation: Act as a Level 3 escalation point for complex system issues and participate in a senior-level on-call rotation.
We’re looking for someone with
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Windows environments.
- Strong expertise in VMWare, Azure, SAN storage, Windows security, and O365 administration.
- Linux experience would be an asset.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting languages
- Solid knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting.
