Are you observant, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment? GardaWorld is currently seeking a professional Security Guard to join our team at BNS Wealth Management in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
In this role, you will help ensure the safety and security of employees, clients, visitors, and property. You will maintain a visible security presence, conduct regular foot patrols, monitor activities, identify potential security concerns, and provide professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the premises and security systems, where applicable, to identify suspicious activities or potential security concerns.
- Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the shift.
- Monitor access to designated areas and verify visitor identification when required.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and potential security threats.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity records.
- Identify and report safety hazards, unusual activities, and security risks.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, clients, management, and emergency services.
- Follow established security procedures and cooperate with law enforcement when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Valid Nova Scotia Security Guard Licence or eligibility to obtain one.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (required).
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate written reports.
- Comfortable using technology and security-related equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and punctuality.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, when required.
