Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, the Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of Motor Registration's busiest office, overseeing a team including front-line and back-office clerical, greeters, and a front-line supervisor. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the incumbent is accountable for delivering efficient, accurate, and customer-focused driver licensing and vehicle registration services through multiple service channels. The position requires strong people management skills, including staff onboarding, training, performance management, attendance and leave administration, coaching, and employee relations, while fostering a respectful and productive workplace. The incumbent addresses escalated customer concerns, supports key stakeholders, and ensures high standards of client service are maintained. In addition, the Processing Manager oversees financial and operational controls, including cash reconciliation, deposit preparation, batch balancing, auditing activities, inventory accountability, and compliance with policies, procedures, and information management requirements to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of service delivery.
Screening Criteria
- Completion of a diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration (equivalencies will be considered)
- Experience leading customer service operations and workflow management.
- Experience reconciling monetary transactions.
- Experience managing staff, including performance management and employee relations.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. (asset)
