Role and Facility Information
Fraser Health Authority is seeking to add a consulting Dermatologist to the current Dermatology group of 3 Dermatologists to provide specialist general Dermatology care to the community of Burnaby.
The City of Burnaby forms part of the western border of the Fraser Health region. With over 230,000 residents, Burnaby is home to 14 percent of Fraser Health’s total population. Burnaby Hospital is a 259 bed hospital offering medical, surgical, tertiary palliative care, psychiatry, as well as 24/7 emergency services with nearly 85,000 visits annually.
The Dermatologist will be providing mostly outpatient and private community services and is also expected to provide consulting services to in patients. The Dermatologist would also be expected to obtain Clinical Faculty appointment with University of British Columbia and provide supervision, mentorship and teaching to Medical Trainees.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have full FRCPC certification and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
