Role and Facility Information
Dr. Davidson is actively seeking a new associate to take over permanently at the Kingsfoil Medical Clinic (KMC). Dr Davidson and his longtime practice associate Dr Alexis Thomson have had a cohesive and consistent family practice cost sharing arrangement for close on 20 years.
Kingsfoil Medical Clinic currently provides comprehensive, office based, longitudinal family practice care to the people of Kelowna and surrounds. Dr. Davidson also provides care to opioid dependent individuals. We do not do obstetrics and we have associate hospital privileges which means our patients are taken care of by our hospitalist program when admitted to hospital. This is a well-established, well known and respected family practice with a robust patient base. We are available for after-hours call via telephone between 1-2 weeks per year as we are part of a large call group.
Our medical clinic is looking for a physician to join their well-established two doctor Family Medical Practice. The clinic operates out of a heritage home in downtown Kelowna and provides longitudinal care to patients. There is no after hours work apart from providing care to patients in long-term care facilities, Hospice House and patient calls through an on-call group of MDs. This clinic is not a walk-in clinic.
Dr Davidson is actively looking for a family doctor to take over his practice. It would be ideal for a potential new associate to work at the KMC as a locum to ensure it is a good fit and then transition over a fairly short period of time to being the primary care doctor of Dr Davidson's patients. Dr Davidson would then be happy to continue to provide locum coverage for the KMC (A win win proposition considering the current doctor crisis situation in BC))
