<p><strong><em>HERD</em></strong> – the leader in front-end collision protection – is committed to producing the highest quality of leading-edge products for our customers.</p><p>We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused <strong>Protective Coatings Specialist</strong> to join our Production Team. In this role, you’ll help ensure our products meet HERD’s high standards by applying powder coating and protective finishes with precision and care.</p><p><strong>Position:</strong> Protective Coatings Specialist<br><strong>Location:</strong> 2168 Springfield Road (no bus routes)<br><strong>Role Type:</strong> Full-time, <strong>Morning</strong>, <strong>Evening </strong>Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 11:30pm **TRAIN ON DAYS**<br><strong>Starting Wage: </strong>$19.00/hour + Premium</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>What You’ll Do</u></strong></p><ul><li>Apply <strong>powder coating</strong> finishes to HERD products, ensuring durability, consistent coverage, and high-quality appearance.</li><li>Follow curing procedures, part hanging strategies, and load optimization techniques to maintain efficiency.</li><li>Inspect parts before and after coating, keeping rework to a minimum.</li><li>Operate, clean, and maintain coating equipment, performing routine troubleshooting and upkeep.</li><li>Complete production and quality records accurately and support continuous improvement efforts.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean workspace by wearing full PPE (including fresh air helmet) and following all safety and environmental protocols.</li></ul><p><strong><u>What We’re Looking For</u></strong></p><ul><li>Experience with powder coating or protective coatings (preferred).</li><li>Comfortable working in dusty, dirty environments with full PPE (including fresh air helmet).</li><li>Physically able to lift and move steel parts repeatedly throughout the shift.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform equipment cleaning/maintenance.</li><li>Team-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Compensation & Benefits</u></strong></p><ul><li>Starting wage: $19/hour (higher depending on experience).</li><li>Health & dental benefits package, complete with paid vacation and a matched RRSP.</li><li>Stable, full-time schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM - 11:30PM</li><li>Training and development opportunities to grow your skills.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Ready to Join the HERD?</strong></p><p>If you’re skilled in protective coatings, or eager to grow your expertise, and are looking for a role where craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork matter, we want to hear from you.</p><p><br><em>We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.</em></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Check out our other career opportunities at: www.herd.com</em></strong></p>
