You will be responsible for <span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">assisting in the preparation of materials and components needed for production. Your attention to detail and efficiency are key to ensuring smooth production operations and high-quality output.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span lang="EN-CA" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-CA;">Position: Pre-Fabrication Technician<br>Location: 2168 Springfield Road (no bus routes)<br>Role Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday Day & Evening<br><br></span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Accurately measure, mark, and cut materials using tape measures, rulers, squares, and other measurement tools.</li><li>Work confidently with metric measurements, particularly millimetres, to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.</li><li>Read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, measurements, and work instructions.</li><li>Inspect materials and components to ensure dimensions, quality, and specifications are met.</li><li>Prepare, organize, and stage materials and components for production.</li><li>Perform cutting, drilling, fastening, fitting, and basic fabrication tasks as required.</li><li>Safely and effectively operate hand tools and power tools.</li><li>Identify measurement, fit, material, or quality issues and communicate them to the appropriate team member.</li><li>Label, organize, and store materials and components in designated areas.</li><li>Complete daily equipment startup, shutdown, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.</li><li>Load, unload, and safely move materials to maintain an efficient production flow.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety standards.</li><li>Work collaboratively with team members to resolve production issues and improve workflow and efficiency.</li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li data-section-id="10uv32n" data-start="251" data-end="387">Previous experience in carpentry, construction, fabrication, woodworking, manufacturing, or a related hands-on trade is preferred.</li><li data-section-id="klznpw" data-start="388" data-end="490">Strong ability to<strong> </strong>read, understand, and work with metric measurements, particularly millimetres.</li><li data-section-id="1iszl19" data-start="491" data-end="584">Comfortable using a<strong> </strong>tape measure, square, ruler, calipers, and other measurement tools.</li><li data-section-id="ovykhv" data-start="585" data-end="680">Ability to accurately measure, mark, cut, and assemble materials according to specifications.</li><li data-section-id="1g2bufe" data-start="681" data-end="779">Basic ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, measurements, and work instructions.</li><li data-section-id="1y8qaji" data-start="780" data-end="853">Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.</li><li data-section-id="19bng8k" data-start="854" data-end="943">Strong attention to detail and ability to identify measurement, fit, or quality issues.</li><li data-section-id="b5g5dd" data-start="944" data-end="1038">Basic mathematical skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and measurements.</li><li data-section-id="iqijea" data-start="1039" data-end="1114">Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality standards.</li><li data-section-id="1wdg4sa" data-start="1115" data-end="1193">Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when required.</li><li data-section-id="14rgkrl" data-start="1194" data-end="1299">Physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely lifting, moving, and handling materials.</li><li data-section-id="abmar6" data-start="1300" data-end="1396">Strong commitment to workplace safety, organization, and maintaining a clean work environment.</li><li data-section-id="1by4qg2" data-start="1397" data-end="1511" data-is-last-node="">Carpentry or construction experience involving measuring and cutting materials is considered a strong asset.</li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>On-the-job training and opportunities to develop new skills.</li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package, including paid vacation.</li><li>A dynamic and supportive work environment focused on teamwork and collaboration.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth through our <strong>Development and Value Discussions (DVD)</strong> program.</li><li>The opportunity to contribute to innovative products that make a difference in the transportation industry.</li></ul><p><strong>Shifts:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Days: Monday - Friday; 7:00AM - 3:30PM</strong></li><li><strong>Evenings: Monday - Friday; 3:30PM - 11:30PM *Training conducted on Day Shift*</strong></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Apply Now and Build Your Future with Us!</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal"><em>We appreciate all interest, however, only qualified applicants will be contacted.</em></p>
