Network Infrastructure Manager
Halifax (Hybrid-2 days in office)
Our client a dynamic Information Technology services company that partners with leading global organizations to deliver innovative, high-quality IT solutions is looking for a Network Infrastructure Manager to join their growing team.
They are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to lead the strategy, engineering, security, reliability, and continual improvement of their global network infrastructure.
You will lead a geographically distributed team of Network SMEs and Engineers, providing technical and operational leadership across Cisco, Palo Alto, Nexus, and F5 technologies.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building a secure, resilient, scalable, and increasingly automated network environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor a global team of Network SMEs and Engineers.
- Establish clear technical ownership, standards, and accountability across network domains.
- Own the global network strategy, architecture, lifecycle, and technology roadmap.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, capacity, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership across:Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Nexus / NX-OS / vPC / EVPN-VXLAN, Nexus Dashboard, Palo Alto Firewalls & Panorama, F5 BIG-IP / LTM.
- Lead network security, segmentation, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership during major incidents and drive effective Problem Management and root-cause analysis.
- Establish effective network monitoring, observability, telemetry, and capacity management.
- Drive automation using APIs, scripting, Catalyst Center, Infrastructure-as-Code, and other automation technologies.
- Support the development of AI Operations / AIOps capabilities.
- Lead network infrastructure requirements for major projects and transformation initiatives.
- Manage technology lifecycle, vendors, contracts, capacity, and infrastructure investment.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Applications, Solutions, Service Management, Monitoring & Observability, and Project teams.
Qualifications
- Significant experience managing enterprise network infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading geographically distributed technical teams.
- Strong enterprise networking and security knowledge.
- Extensive experience with Cisco routing/switching, wireless, Catalyst Center, and SD-WAN.
- Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
- Strong experience with Cisco Nexus, including vPC and EVPN-VXLAN.
- Experience with Nexus Dashboard.
- Strong experience with F5 load balancing.
- Strong understanding of network security, resilience, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering network transformation and continual improvement.
