As a Project Portfolio Manager within the Corporate Strategy and Portfolio team, you will play a key role in managing the initiative portfolios of a major business sector. What You’ll Accomplish With Us
As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will be at the core of our mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting managers and their teams in preparing business cases, prioritizing initiatives, and evolving the business sector’s strategic roadmap;
- Orchestrating the management of initiative portfolios throughout their lifecycle to ensure alignment with organizational objectives;
- Monitoring project execution and contributing to the achievement of expected business benefits;
- Providing clear visibility into portfolio performance and delivering reporting that supports strategic decision-making;
- Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple sectors to address prioritization challenges, identify risks, and implement appropriate solutions;
- Ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of portfolio management data and processes in accordance with established standards;
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of portfolio management practices through involvement within the functional team, including knowledge sharing and the development of new tools;
- Supporting financial planning, budget monitoring, audit, and governance processes while representing the department in various forums and governance bodies;

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is recognized for their influential leadership and ability to build lasting partnerships with stakeholders at all levels;
- Stands out for their rigor, strategic judgment, and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a complex environment;
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills, the ability to formulate fact-based recommendations, and support sound decision-making;
- Is recognized for excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a variety of audiences, including senior leadership;
- Has 3 to 5 years of experience in project management as well as 3 to 5 years of experience in portfolio management;
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of project and portfolio management, including key financial principles, along with a solid understanding of Lean-Agile practices;
- Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; a master’s degree in project management, strategic management, or a related discipline is considered an asset;
- Has knowledge of the financial services and insurance industry, along with experience in an advisory role supporting senior leadership, which is considered an asset;
- Advanced proficiency in both French and English is required, as the successful candidate will act as an advisor to various stakeholders located across Canada. In this role, they will regularly communicate and collaborate in English, both verbally and in writing;
