What You’ll Accomplish With Us
As a
Reinsurance Technician, you will be at the center of our mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Process reinsurance transactions related to requests for changes and modifications on individual life insurance policies in accordance with established procedures
- As needed, process transactions and policy changes related to day-to-day operations for individual life insurance policies according to established procedures
- Verify the administrative compliance of files and ensure adherence to underwriting rules and regulatory requirements
- Respond to inquiries from clients, advisors, and internal partners while providing exceptional service
- Enter and update information in various administrative systems
- Effectively manage a high volume of transactions and requests while meeting established deadlines
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure the thorough and accurate processing of files
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes and practices
What Could Help You Succeed In This Role
We are looking for someone who:
- Is recognized for strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, resourcefulness, autonomy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Shows initiative and a collaborative mindset
- Thrives in ambiguous situations and can move forward effectively despite uncertainty
- Learns quickly and is comfortable using a variety of computer applications and systems
- Is customer-focused and possesses strong communication skills
- Has 1 to 3 years of experience in administration, financial services, insurance, or a related field
- Has experience in individual insurance reinsurance operations (an asset)
- Can perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, and evolving environment
- Has an advanced level of English and French, as the role requires written communication, file processing, and consultation of documentation in both English and French with partners, advisors, and clients on a regular basis

The typical salary range for this position is $47,544 to $68,329 CAD per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity considerations. At iA, we are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation aligned with market conditions. Our market data is reviewed annually to reflect current employment market trends.
Please note that this is a 12-month temporary contract. This opportunity offers valuable experience within a specialized individual insurance team while allowing you to develop expertise in processing complex transactions and delivering outstanding customer service.
