About The Role
- We’re actively searching for a Mining Engineer in Training II based in Gogama with a start date to be determined, reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer. In this role, you’ll support mine planning, operational reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement across our three mining operations, helping drive performance through collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Your work will directly support IMG’s purpose by helping optimize mining operations, improve performance, and enable informed decision-making. Through technical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll contribute to the safe, sustainable, and efficient delivery of value across the business.
- Responsibilities:
- Champion a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace aligned with Zero Harm and sustainability goals.
- Support initiatives that contribute to Zero Carbon Emissions and operational sustainability.
- Collaborate with site and corporate teams to deliver accurate operational and business performance reporting.\
- Provide technical support and insights to cross-functional teams to improve decision-making and processes.
- Coordinate planning schedules, key milestones, and business deliverables across operations.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate operational performance and recommendations.
- Use data analytics, AI tools, and technical analysis to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to innovation projects, automation opportunities, and technology-driven solutions that enhance mine performance.
Job Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Additional education in computer science, data analytics, or related fields is an asset.
Relevant Experience
- 3+ years of experience in mining engineering (open pit or underground).
- Experience with mine engineering, scheduling, and operational analysis as well as mine planning software.
Skills & Strengths, We Value
- Advanced Excel, data analysis, and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and technical reporting.
- Solid understanding of mining operations and production processes, combined with strong organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset; French language skills are an asset.

Salary Range: $70,800- $106,200
The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
