About The Role
We’re actively searching for a Carpenter/Scaffolder to join the Côté Gold team, with a start date to be determined, reporting to the Shutdown Supervisor. This role supports construction, maintenance, and repair activities by erecting and dismantling scaffolding structures in accordance with safety standards and site requirements, enabling safe and efficient mill operations.
This role supports IMG’s purpose by ensuring safe access and work environments across site operations. By building compliant scaffolding systems, the Scaffolder helps protect workers, improve efficiency, and enable reliable maintenance and construction activities critical to safe, sustainable production.
Responsibilities
- Safely assemble, install, and dismantle scaffolding structures to support maintenance, repair, and construction activities within the mill.
- Ensure scaffolding is built to exact specifications, conducting inspections and safety checks to guarantee stability, compliance, and worker safety.
- Maintain scaffolding equipment and materials, identifying damage or wear and reporting for timely repair or replacement.
- Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies while promoting a safe work environment.
- Identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to meet shift deliverables and support reliable site operations.
- Mentor and train new team members, sharing expertise and supporting skill development.
- Communicate clearly across teams, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and follow-up on any deficiencies.

- Post-secondary education in a related trade required.
- Certification or trade qualification an asset.

Relevant Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Scaffolder, preferably within an industrial or mining setting.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards.
Skills & Strengths, We Value
- Strong understanding of scaffolding materials, construction methods, and safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address issues related to scaffolding design, site conditions, and safety concerns.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to erect scaffolds accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Salary Range: $114,000 - $120,000 + Bonus
