About the role:
IAMGOLD is seeking a motivated and hands-on Field Technician (Exploration) to support multiple active exploration projects in the Côté Gold region. Based out of the Mesomikenda Lake core shack, this role plays a key part in ensuring exploration programs run safely, efficiently, and successfully across a variety of remote field locations.
Working closely with geologists and field teams, the Field Technician will provide both logistical and technical support for diamond drilling programs, geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, and sample collection activities. The role also supports core shack operations and serves as an important link between field-based exploration activities and project teams, helping to ensure the smooth flow of information, materials, and resources.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will coordinate and support drilling operations on both land and ice, oversee field logistics and inventory management, and assist with contractor coordination during trenching, site preparation, and reclamation activities. This position requires a high degree of independence, adaptability, and initiative, along with the ability to work safely and effectively in remote environments and varying seasonal conditions.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
We're looking for a candidate with a high school diploma and a technical diploma or degree in geology, mining, forestry, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience supporting field logistics is considered an asset. Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with GPS technology and basic GIS applications, and solid computer skills are important for success in this role. A valid Ontario driver's license is required, and First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.

Salary Range: CAD$60-70K + bonus The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
