Our client is a successful multinational organization with a strong presence in the Mississauga market. They are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Manager, Consolidation & External Reporting to join their team for an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent opportunity.
This is a hands-on accounting and reporting leadership role for someone who brings deep experience with complex consolidation, actuals reporting, month-end close, and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities
- Perform and review hands-on accounting and financial reporting activities
- Manage complex multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations
- Prepare and review consolidation adjustments and intercompany elimination entries
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely external financial reporting
- Review journal entries, reconciliations and accounting adjustments
- Oversee day-to-day and transactional accounting activities, including AP, AR and general accounting
- Support year-end audit activities, including working with external auditors and preparing financial statement support
- Review and validate accounting information prepared by offshore/shared-services teams
- Supervise and provide direction to 2 professional accounting staff
- Support management reporting and business partnering activities as required
- Contribute to accounting processes, systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with large and complex datasets using advanced Excel
What We're Looking For
- CPA designation is required
- Strong industry accounting experience with a proven track record in financial reporting
- Deep hands-on experience with complex consolidation
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Strong knowledge of intercompany accounting and elimination entries
- Extensive experience with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
- Strong understanding of actuals accounting and reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience working with large datasets and complex financial reconciliations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supervising or reviewing the work of accounting professionals
- Comfortable working in a hands-on reviewer + doer capacity
