Our client, a well-established organization located in the heart of Mississauga, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting activities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
- Analyze financial information and support accounting-related projects
- Work within a high-volume, transaction-driven environment
Qualifications
- CPA/CA designation required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close
- Proven experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statements
- Experience working in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high transaction volumes
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, motivated and results-oriented
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Macros are an asset
