The Role: The Product Specialist, Investment Products provides day-to-day support for IG Wealth Management’s investment product platform and serves as the primary coordinator for product-related inquiries from advisors, sales teams and internal business partners.
Acting as the central point of contact for the Investment Products team’s advisor and sales support mailboxes, the incumbent triages, tracks and coordinates timely and accurate responses across a broad range of investment solutions.
Working closely with Investment Products, Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Legal and investment management partners, the Product Specialist supports product communications, reporting, documentation, advisor enablement and product initiatives. The role contributes to service excellence, efficient information flow and the development of foundational investment product expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Product Support & Inquiry Management
- Manage advisor and sales support mailboxes, triaging and coordinating timely responses to product-related inquiries.
- Escalate complex or sensitive inquiries to appropriate leaders or subject matter experts and track through to resolution.
- Maintain accurate response templates, FAQs, reference materials and approved product information.
- Track inquiry trends, volumes and knowledge gaps to support service improvements and team insights.
Reporting, Communications & Product Administration
- Maintain product information, inventories, reports, dashboards and shared content repositories.
- Support collection, validation and reconciliation of product-related data from internal and external sources.
- Coordinate updates to product materials and support preparation of advisor- and sales-facing communications, presentations and education resources.
- Conduct basic industry and competitor research and maintain product comparison resources.
- Monitor relevant market and product developments and share insights with Managers and Senior Managers.
- Provide research, coordination and administrative support for product initiatives and ad hoc assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, asset management, investment products, operations or a related field.
- CSC completed or willingness to complete.
- Strong service orientation, organization, attention to detail and written communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate responses across stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Foundational understanding of mutual funds, ETFs and managed solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance specialization
- Experience supporting product teams
- CFA Level I, II or III candidate
- Experience with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Salesforce or similar tools. Broader familiarity with portfolio construction and investment strategies.
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $50,500 - $72,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
