Job Summary
IIQAF Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to support inventory control, stock management, warehouse operations, receiving, and supply activities within the hospitality industry in Ontario. The Inventory Clerk will maintain accurate inventory records, receive and inspect incoming supplies, update stock information, monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and assist with the timely distribution of food, beverages, hospitality supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for hospitality supplies, food, beverages, equipment, and operational materials.
- Receive incoming deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect received goods for quantity, quality, damage, packaging, and discrepancies.
- Record received goods accurately in inventory and warehouse management systems.
- Perform daily inventory data entry and update stock movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify low-stock, excess-stock, and replenishment requirements.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock checks.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with the proper storage and handling of food, beverage, hospitality, and operational supplies.
- Prepare and process stock requisitions and internal inventory requests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or certificate in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or Business Administration is an advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, warehouse operations, receiving, or materials handling.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk, Inventory Assistant, Stock Clerk, Warehouse Clerk, Store Clerk, or Inventory Control Clerk is preferred.
- Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, catering, food service, retail, or distribution experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control procedures.
- Experience performing physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse, procurement, and hospitality operations team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple inventory tasks.
