About the Role
Our client, a major aircraft manufacturer, is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join its Systems Integration team. This role owns the electrical side of the aircraft: power generation, power distribution, and lighting systems, from initial design through certification and into in-service support. You'll work across the full product lifecycle, partnering with suppliers and cross-functional engineering groups to make sure these systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements at every stage.
What You'll Do
- Own the electrical engineering scope on power generation, power distribution, and lighting systems - from design and integration through to in-service support.
- Drive certification, testing, and validation work, making sure electrical systems clear regulatory and airworthiness milestones on schedule.
- Apply RTCA/DO-160, SAE, and MIL-STD standards, and keep designs aligned with TCCA, FAA, and EASA airworthiness requirements.
- Work daily with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers to troubleshoot issues and keep integration on track.
- Run trade studies and assess new technologies for integration into existing or future electrical systems.
- Push continuous improvement on system performance, reliability, and safety.
Nice to Have
- Specific hands-on experience with aircraft lighting systems, not just power generation and distribution.
- A track record of leading trade studies or introducing new technology into an existing aircraft platform.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across disciplines in a regulated aerospace environment.
