Position Purpose:
The Accounts Receivable Analyst supports the General Real Estate Portfolio (GREP) by ensuring the accurate and timely billing of project-related costs and the ongoing management of accounts receivable activities. The role is responsible for client billing, receivables reporting, reconciliations, collections support, and financial analysis that help maintain strong financial controls and support effective decision-making. Working closely with Finance, project teams, ministries, agencies, and service providers, the position contributes to the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of GREP's financial operations.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and issue monthly billings for project-related activities, including ministry-funded and recoverable projects.
- Review project costs, fees, and funding information to ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and assigned to the appropriate projects.
- Generate and consolidate accounts receivable reporting, including analysis of outstanding balances, collection trends, and aging information.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts receivable reports to support operational, financial, and public reporting requirements.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and work with ministries, agencies, project teams, and stakeholders to support collections and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Reconcile accounts receivable subledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
- Support internal control activities, audits, reconciliations, and financial process reviews to maintain compliance and reporting integrity.
- Assist with financial system implementations, service provider transitions, process improvements, and special projects as required.
Who You Are:
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline an asset.
- A few years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, financial reporting, reconciliations, or related finance functions.
- Experience preparing invoices, monitoring receivables, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end financial activities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting practices; experience in real estate, construction, or project-based environments is considered an asset.

We offer a competitive salary range of $72,200 to $84,200 (P2 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
