Your contribution!
Reporting to the Senior Manager - IT Infrastructure, the Systems Administrator plays a key role in the operation, evolution, and security of the company’s technology environments. Working alongside a team of specialists, the person ensures the smooth operation of hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud-based) that support Innergex’s corporate operations and renewable energy facilities in Canada, the United States, France, and Chile. They participate in large-scale technology projects, the optimization of IT and OT environments, process automation, and the maintenance of high standards of performance, availability, and cybersecurity. The person in this role will be required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure support for critical infrastructure outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Your day-to day!
Administer and evolve Windows, Azure, Microsoft 365, and VMware environments.
Ensure the operation of hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud-based) and data centers.
Manage essential services such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, VDI, virtual servers, and SaaS/PaaS solutions.
Analyze system performance, capacity, and security to ensure stability and availability.
Participate in the implementation of new technological solutions and the continuous improvement of infrastructure.
Help resolve complex incidents and serve as a technical expert for internal teams.
Monitor IT environments and respond to security and operational alerts.
Collaborate with operations and construction teams to support renewable energy production sites.
Automate certain administrative tasks using scripts and appropriate tools.
Participate in system updates, scheduled maintenance, and optimization.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and contribute to operational continuity by providing support for critical infrastructure when required.
Maintain thorough and up-to-date technical documentation.
Contribute to audits, IT controls, and adherence to compliance and cybersecurity requirements.
Serve as an advisor to the team on best practices and emerging technologies.

This position is at the P2 level.
