About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to support the maintenance, operation, and reliability of our production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on processing and material-handling equipment.
- Conduct welding and fabrication work as required.
- Maintain and service conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, and electric motors.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues, including motor wiring.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
- Report equipment concerns, process irregularities, and safety issues to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement and maintenance projects.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification required.
- High school diploma or post-secondary technical education.
- Experience in manufacturing, recycling, plastics processing, or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production setting.
