SUMMARY:
We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Supervisor to lead our field team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of Automated Safety Enforcement (ASE) systems across British Columbia. Reporting to Operations Manager, this role is accountable for team leadership, project rollout execution, scheduling, field operations oversight, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our systems are deployed and operated safely, reliably, and in accordance with applicable provincial standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, train, and mentor field technicians, ensuring competency in the correct installation, configuration, and repair of ASE equipment.
- During project rollout phases, work directly alongside technicians to install, configure, assemble, and set up ASE camera systems, providing hands-on support and technical direction in addition to supervisory oversight.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams - including training, engineering, and technical requirements groups - to align rollout timelines, equipment specifications, and site readiness before and during deployment.
- Develop weekly technician schedules and optimize travel routes across BC regions to meet deadlines while minimizing time and fuel costs.
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple sites, resolving technical issues promptly to maintain project timelines and minimize downtime.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders, safety logs, and technical service reports in accordance with company and client standards.
- Enforce WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies, including proper PPE use and traffic control protocols during fieldwork.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, initiating procurement proactively to prevent shortages.
- Maintain company vehicles and specialized field equipment in safe, serviced, and deployment-ready condition.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins, provide feedback, recognizing achievement, and addressing concerns in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, technical maintenance, or a related trade, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, camera/imaging technology, or traffic infrastructure is a strong asset.
- Valid British Columbia Driver's License with a clean driving record; must be willing and able to travel extensively across the province, including to remote or rural sites.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage schedules, inventory, and multi-site logistics effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with team members, clients, and government or municipal officials.
- Occupational First Aid (OFA), Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification, or equivalent WorkSafeBC-recognized training is an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions and to lift/carry equipment as required for installation and servicing tasks.
