JSI Telecom is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer (with strong Networking) to design, implement, and support complex enterprise and customer infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong analytical and communication skills to translate complex and often ambiguous business and technical requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.
This role requires extensive experience with enterprise data center infrastructure, networking, virtualization, systems integration and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across engineering, production, sales, and customer-facing teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure projects involving hardware deployments, system integration, network architecture, and delivery of enterprise solutions that meet corporate and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Sales, Production, and Technical Support teams to translate technical requirements into validated, production-ready implementations.
- Own technical requirements, feature development, hardware qualification, and platform enhancements while driving the adoption of new technologies and operational processes.
- Develop implementation standards, configuration documentation, and knowledge transfer materials to support internal teams, customers, and ongoing operations.
- Provide Tier 3 technical leadership for complex infrastructure issues, including hardware, networking, virtualization, and operating system troubleshooting.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, process optimization, and mentoring of technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with enterprise data center infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise servers, networking, and storage platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems across hardware, networking, virtualization, and operating systems.
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting and automation to improve deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

- Engineering or Computer Science degree
- 10+ years of networking experience
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications

- Dell PowerEdge Servers (R7x0, T6x0), iDRAC
- Storage: S3 (Ceph, AWS), SAN (Unity XT), NAS (Isilon Powerscale)
- IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, TDD, automated deployment
- Linux and Windows server administration
- Coding: Python, PowerShell, Ruby, C#
- HA & Disaster Recovery (RPO/RTO, replication)
