Position: Pega Technical Lead (CLSA)

As a Pega Technical Lead, you will lead the architecture, design, and enterprise-grade delivery of scalable Pega solutions for high-consequence Banking and Financial Services programs. Operating strictly Onsite in Mississauga, ON, you will own technical quality, enforce platform best practices, and align technical execution across onsite, nearshore, and offshore delivery teams. This role requires an elite leader with 10+ years of IT experience, a mandatory Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) credential, and deep functional expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Technical Governance: Own the technical architecture, application structure, integration approaches, and solution design across the entire lifecycle - analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
- Enterprise Reuse & Design: Translate complex functional requirements into secure, scalable, and reusable Pega solutions. Establish reusable enterprise components and scalable architecture patterns for broad adoption.
- Guardrail Enforcement & Quality: Drive strict Pega design and coding best practices through continuous design reviews, code reviews, technical governance, and absolute Guardrail compliance.
- UI Modernization: Architect cutting-edge user experiences utilizing Pega UI frameworks, specifically Cosmos and Constellation.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide clear technical direction to globally distributed development teams (onsite, nearshore, and offshore). Collaborate daily with Business Architects, Product Owners, and Enterprise Security teams.
- Risk & Performance Management: Identify systemic technical risks, architecture dependencies, and performance bottlenecks, recommending proactive mitigation and post-production stabilization strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of total IT experience, including 6-8 years of hands-on Pega PRPC experience across Pega 8.x and Pega Infinity 23.x or above.
- Mandatory Certification: Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) on Pega 8.x or above. (Resumes without active CLSA credentials will be automatically disqualified).
- Domain Expertise: 8+ years within Banking and Financial Services, featuring at least 3 years of deep, hands-on experience in AML / KYC domains.
- Framework Mastery: Direct knowledge of specialized financial frameworks: Pega Customer Service, Smart Dispute, and Smart Investigate.
- Methodology: Strong command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery models with active working knowledge of Jira.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Hands-on exposure to Pega BIX (Business Information Exchange), Pega Survey, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex engineering concepts to programmers, IT leadership, and non-technical business stakeholders.
