Position: Senior QA Automation Engineer – Java / REST Assured
Location: Hybrid- 4days/week Onsite- Toronto, ON

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in quality engineering and test automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Java, REST Assured, Selenium, API automation, and UI automation. The engineer will design scalable automation frameworks, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, perform API/UI and database validation, and contribute to overall test strategy and quality engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks using Java, REST Assured, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG/JUnit.
- Build automated API test suites covering request/response validation, authentication, negative scenarios, contract validation, and backend verification.
- Develop UI automation for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform database and backend validation using SQL.
- Integrate automated regression suites with Jenkins, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, Product Owners, and Agile teams throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in test strategy, framework enhancements, code reviews, defect analysis, and release validation.
- Troubleshoot automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Apply automation best practices including Page Object Model, data-driven testing, and BDD where applicable.
