What To Expect When You Apply
- Interested applicants must apply individually to each job opening for which they wish to compete.
- For consideration, applicants must complete a profile and application on the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet’s hiring website – MyPurpose.
- Upon successful completion of the application, each applicant will be notified by the MyPurpose website that their application has been successfully submitted.
- As an applicant, you will be assessed by the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet and DOCJT to determine suitability for the open position.
- Selected candidates will be notified and offered an interview by DOCJT.
- The hiring agency will then submit the top three applicants to the Division of Career Opportunities (DCO).
- The DCO reviews selected candidates to determine if all state personnel requirements have been met.
- DOCJT makes a job offer to the top candidate approved by the DCO.
- Applicants not selected during the process will be notified through the MyPurpose portal.
- Applicants not selected can reapply for any open position for which they qualify.
- The hiring process must be completed within 90 days.
