Original job description
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to become a key part of our dev team. In this role, you’ll manage Laravel backend features, enhance the React frontend, and optimize Redis queues and MySQL performance. You’ll also work closely with our team to ensure our AWS infrastructure supports scaling needs. This is a great opportunity for a developer who loves coding, designing systems, and making key architectural decisions that impact the entire application. You’ll work closely with the cofounders to continue to build out the patient and physician side of our platform. We are looking for a passionate, mission-driven engineer who takes pride in the products they build.
What you'll do:
Develop and maintain features across our Laravel + Inertia + React stack
Work with Node.js for build tooling, JavaScript services, and supporting infrastructure
Lead technical design for core product flows (consultations, payments, prescriptions)
Maintain and evolve our data models, APIs, and integrations (payment gateways,
pharmacy systems)
Write reliable, tested, and maintainable code
Partner with product and leadership to make pragmatic technical decisions
Help establish best practices for code review, testing, and deployments
Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and mentoring future developers
What we’re looking for:
Strong experience with Laravel and React.
Familiarity with AWS EC2, auto-scaling groups, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
Solid understanding of MySQL and Redis.
Experience with caching strategies and performance optimization.
Has experience thoroughly testing and deploying their own code
Comfortable taking features from idea → design → implementation → production
Pragmatic: you know when to ship quickly vs. when to build for scale
Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating across functions
Experience with payments, subscription systems, or healthcare systems is a plus
Leadership potential: you’ve mentored peers, led projects, or guided technical decisions
