KIT Recruitment is partnering with a high-growth food and beverage manufacturer to recruit a Senior Sourcing Analyst for its Toronto operation.

Reporting to the Sr. Sourcing Manager, you’ll play an important role in developing raw material sourcing strategies, analyzing market trends, managing supplier performance, supporting negotiations, and helping the business anticipate supply and pricing risks.

Senior Sourcing Analyst – Details:
- Location: Toronto, ON
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Work Arrangement: On-Site
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Salary: $72,000–$80,000

Senior Sourcing Analyst – Responsibilities:
- Support the development of raw material category and sourcing strategies using data analysis, demand forecasting and market intelligence.
- Maintain and optimize demand and forecasting data to support long-term sourcing plans and strategic decision-making.
- Partner closely with Planning, Finance, Quality and Project Management to support sourcing and operational requirements.
- Align inventory levels and ordering patterns with demand forecasts and supplier lead times.
- Manage and support RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations and sourcing initiatives.
- Analyze supplier pricing, cost structures and market benchmarks to support contract negotiations.
- Monitor raw material markets and provide insights, recommendations and scenario analyses to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Build and maintain forecasting models, cost breakdowns, dashboards and tracking tools.
- Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, supporting performance reviews, KPI tracking, issue resolution, escalations and corrective actions.
- Monitor supply risks including shortages, pricing volatility and continuity concerns.
- Identify and recommend alternative or substitute ingredients and materials when required for existing products or new product launches.
- Support complex sourcing projects involving supplier price changes, production requirements and customer pricing structures.
- Maintain the annual sourcing calendar and support contracting and budgeting cycles.
- Maintain accurate records of quality specifications and requirements for raw materials.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve supplier pricing and volume discrepancies and support accurate, timely payments.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to track and consolidate supplier volume rebates.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and supply-chain optimization through analysis and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the sourcing function.
- Ensure compliance with company requirements related to Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP, Quality and applicable regulations.
Senior Sourcing Analyst – Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of sourcing or procurement experience, preferably within food & beverage manufacturing or CPG environments required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Economics, Food Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience managing RFQs/RFPs and supplier negotiations.
- Strong analytical and data-management skills with the ability to identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experience with supplier relationship management, supplier performance and stakeholder management.
- Experience gathering and interpreting market intelligence to support sourcing and procurement decisions.
- Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working within an ERP environment, such as NetSuite, SAP or a comparable cloud-based ERP system.
- Comfortable working hands-on with sourcing data and systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Highly accountable and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, decisions and outcomes.
- Proactive, self-driven and solutions-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Outgoing, organized and collaborative with a continuous-improvement mindset.
