KIT Recruitment is partnering with an established organization to recruit a Senior Treasury Analyst to join its growing finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Treasury, this is a hands-on role responsible for supporting and executing treasury operations across cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange (FX), working capital and trade finance.
You’ll take ownership of cash forecasting and exposure reporting, execute hedging and trade finance activities, work directly with banking partners and collaborate with Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to help protect liquidity and reduce financial risk.

Senior Treasury Analyst – Details:

Senior Treasury Analyst – Responsibilities:
Cash Flow & Liquidity
- Own weekly and rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts, including assumptions and forecast accuracy.
- Manage daily cash positioning and bank reconciliations across Canadian and international accounts.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to improve forecasting and identify liquidity requirements.
- Lead cash flow variance analysis and provide recommendations to senior finance leadership.
- Manage short-term liquidity, intercompany funding and surplus cash within company policy.
- Monitor credit facility covenants and prepare lender compliance reporting.
- Improve cash reporting and liquidity tracking tools.
Foreign Exchange & Risk Management
- Own FX exposure reporting across multiple entities and currencies.
- Analyze transactional and forecasted currency exposures across AR, AP, inventory and trade finance.
- Execute FX hedging transactions, including forwards and swaps, within approved limits.
- Oversee hedge reconciliations, mark-to-market valuations and settlement.
- Monitor hedge effectiveness and coverage against policy targets.
- Build sensitivity and scenario models to evaluate the impact of currency movements on earnings, margins and cash flow.
- Support the continued development of FX risk-management policies and hedging strategies.
- Manage counterparty relationships, pricing and credit exposure.
Working Capital & Trade Finance
- Manage letters of credit (LCs), standby letters of credit (SBLCs), guarantees and other trade finance instruments.
- Forecast trade finance requirements and identify potential facility constraints.
- Analyze banking and trade finance costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Partner with Commercial and Finance teams on payment terms, collections and working capital opportunities.
- Lead reporting on DSO, DPO, DIO and the cash conversion cycle.
Banking & Treasury Operations
- Serve as a key day-to-day contact for banking partners.
- Support facility renewals, annual reviews, KYC requirements and pricing negotiations.
- Oversee daily payments and liquidity transfers within delegated authority.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls and banking procedures.
- Maintain documentation for credit facilities, banking mandates, signing authorities and treasury policies.
- Support audits and treasury-related reporting requirements.
- Play a key role in Treasury Management System (TMS), bank connectivity and reporting automation initiatives.
- Manage daily cash positioning and bank reconciliations across Canadian and international accounts.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to improve forecasting and identify liquidity requirements.
- Lead cash flow variance analysis and provide recommendations to senior finance leadership.
- Manage short-term liquidity, intercompany funding and surplus cash within company policy.
- Monitor credit facility covenants and prepare lender compliance reporting.
- Improve cash reporting and liquidity tracking tools.
Senior Treasury Analyst – Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking or trade finance.
- Minimum 3 years of corporate treasury experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cash and liquidity management, working capital, FX risk and credit facilities.
- Hands-on experience with cash forecasting, FX exposure analysis and financial modelling.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP; Treasury Management System experience is an asset.
- Experience with credit facilities, covenants and banking relationships.
- Experience within commodity trading, agri-food, trade finance or global trading environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- CPA, CFA or CTP designation preferred, or significant progress toward completion.
