Role Description The Production Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Coquitlam, BC. This role manages day-to-day production scheduling, coordinates work orders, and ensures projects move efficiently through manufacturing. The Production Coordinator collaborates with production teams, purchasing, and customer service to align timelines, resolve issues, and meet delivery commitments. Key responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels for production materials, updating project status reports, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives, communicating clearly with internal stakeholders, and helping ensure that production quality and safety standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in production planning and production management to coordinate schedules, workflows, and resources in a manufacturing environment.
- Project management skills to organize tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion of production-related projects.
- Excellent organization skills to manage multiple work orders, documentation, and priorities with attention to detail.
- Experience in manufacturing or production coordination, preferably in a similar industry.
- Comfort with using ERP or production management software and standard office productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate in a team environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in operations, business, or a related field is an asset.
