Position: Senior Data Governance Consultant
Location: Hybrid - mandatory 3 days in Downtown Toronto, ON
Experience: 8-10 Years
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Professional with strong expertise in Wealth Management and Global Asset Management domains. The candidate will be responsible for driving enterprise data governance initiatives, defining and maintaining data standards, and ensuring data quality across Operational Data Store (ODS) environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement Data Governance frameworks, standards, and controls across enterprise data platforms.
- Manage and maintain Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, and Metadata repositories.
- Develop and document Data Lineage to support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Work with Full Enterprise Data Models and ODS data structures to ensure consistency and data integrity.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across Wealth Management and Asset Management functions.
- Support data quality, metadata management, and stewardship activities.
- Leverage Snowflake for data management, governance, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
- Participate in data transformation and modernization programs involving cloud-based data platforms.
Required Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience in Data Management and Data Governance.
- Strong domain knowledge of Wealth Management and Global Asset Management.
- Experience with ODS (Operational Data Store) and enterprise data models.
- Hands-on expertise in Data Governance, Data Dictionary, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
- Strong understanding of data quality, data stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Data Catalog, Business Glossary, and Metadata tools.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms, data warehousing, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience working in Banking and Financial Services organizations.
