Role Description The Accounting Clerk (AR, AP, Billing) is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. The role involves processing and recording accounts payable invoices, preparing and posting accounts receivable transactions, and generating accurate customer billing in a timely manner. The Accounting Clerk will reconcile statements, assist with month-end closing activities, and maintain organized financial records for multiple divisions. Responsibilities include responding to vendor and customer inquiries, following up on past-due accounts, and supporting the accounting team with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks. The individual will work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate financial information and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections follow-up.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and reconciliations, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and customers in a professional manner.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger concepts.
- Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, ON, adapt to a fast-paced, multi-division environment, and handle confidential information responsibly.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred; experience in transportation, logistics, or related industries is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset, or equivalent practical experience.
