Role Description The Bookkeeper (Billing, AR, AP) is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON, responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions across Kuthala Group’s divisions. This position focuses on processing customer billing, recording accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely entries in the general ledger. The role involves preparing and issuing invoices, applying payments, following up on outstanding balances, and coordinating with vendors regarding invoices, credits, and payment schedules. The bookkeeper maintains organized financial records, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, and assists with reporting for management. Collaboration with operations, finance, and management teams is essential to maintain accurate financial data and support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping experience with emphasis on billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, including accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar), ERP systems, and MS Excel for reports, spreadsheets, and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, general ledger posting, and month-end closing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, customers, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Previous experience in transportation, equipment leasing, warehousing, or related industries is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, ON, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality with financial information.
