Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an
EHS Intern to join the
Electrical Wiring Systems Power Bus Way Team. This position reports to
Mississauga. Ontario. The EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Intern will support the coordination, development, and implementation of key safety programs and initiatives at Power Bus Way. This role provides hands-on experience in project coordination, digital safety tools, and workplace health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.

What Will You Do?
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the H&S Manager and H&S Specialist to review, administer, and support H&S programs and initiatives
- Assist in the delivery of programs including:
- Safety Training
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs
- eLearning and digital training initiatives
- Promoting Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace
- Support ongoing continuous improvement of safety systems and processes
- Program and manage TV displays for monthly safety messaging and communications
- Assist in the development and rollout of the PPE vending machine program for team members
- Streamline safety program tracking using QR codes, OnTRAK reporting, Learning Center platforms, and SharePoint
- Convert safety training materials into interactive eLearning courses, including quizzes, tracking of results, and certifications
- Conduct workplace inspections and hazard assessments
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Support updates to safety documentation (SOPs and SWIs)
- Develop and distribute safety communications and materials
- Participate in delivering safety training sessions
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in:
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Environmental Science
- Project Management or a related field
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of Ontario Health & Safety Act
