We're seeking
Chief Engineers who are comfortable working with modern programmable systems - not just traditional diesel engines. Successful candidates will have experience with
PLC/Siemens controllers, electric or hybrid propulsion systems, and advanced drive technologies such as
azimuth or stern drives. Experience with shoreside hardware installations or marine engineering support is a plus.
Qualifications
- Master Mariner certification (3,000-ton domestic or higher)
- Experience with modern marine electrical, automation, and propulsion systems
- Tug/tow or Oil & Gas marine experience preferred
- Canadian citizens or candidates with existing Canadian work authorization strongly preferred
- Candidates whose experience is primarily on deep-sea or tanker vessels are generally not a fit for this role
This position follows a
3-week rotational schedule with camp-style accommodations and rotating shifts, including overnight rotations. Candidates should be comfortable with this lifestyle. Please note that company travel reimbursement policies may not cover all door-to-door travel expenses.
