G&E Contracting LP is looking for qualified Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) and Lane Closure Technicians (LCTs) to join our team. Based out of our Langford yard, this role supports jobsites throughout the Greater Victoria area.
Reporting to the Site Foreman, the successful candidate will support G&E's civil construction operations through traffic control and general labour duties. This position offers the opportunity to build broader experience within G&E's operations.

The successful candidate will have:
- Valid TCP certification is required, applicants without a valid TCP certification will not be considered.
- Minimum one year of experience working as a TCP
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel to various jobsites throughout the Greater Victoria area
- Experience working in civil construction, including utility installation, road building or similar operations, considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
Job duties include:
- Providing traffic control support for civil construction projects
- Establishing and maintaining work zones using appropriate signage and delineation devices in accordance with the applicable Traffic Management Plan
- Directing traffic and pedestrians safely though or around active worksites
- Monitoring site conditions and communicating changes or concerns to the crew
- Performing general labour duties on construction projects as required
- Operating company vehicles as required in support of jobsite activities
- Reporting safety concerns or equipment issues to the Site Foreman
