About Us
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Solution Architect for a contract opportunity. This role will provide architectural leadership for an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program, with a primary focus on IBM Maximo implementation and other business-critical, asset-based technology solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with enterprise architecture, technology leadership, business stakeholders, and project delivery teams to design and implement secure, resilient, and scalable end-to-end solutions.
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of one day onsite per week in Peel Region, ON, with additional onsite attendance potentially required for critical meetings. The consultant must also attend onsite on the first and final day of the assignment for onboarding and offboarding.

Position Summary
The Senior Solution Architect will oversee solution design, technology development, architecture standards, and technical strategy in support of an Enterprise Asset Management program. The successful candidate will provide expert architectural guidance, develop solution architectures and technical roadmaps, design integration approaches, and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, business requirements, security standards, and organizational objectives.
The role requires significant hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management, strong solution and integration architecture capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders across large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze technical environments and enterprise-wide business and technical requirements to develop appropriate solution architectures.
- Provide strategic consulting and lead the development of solution architectures supporting key business objectives.
- Design secure, robust, and scalable integration approaches to enable interoperability between systems.
- Provide technical guidance on solution development, integration, changes, and deviations while ensuring compliance with applicable architecture, security, and technology standards.
- Develop solution workflows, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and other technical design documentation.
- Develop functional prototypes and visual communications to support technical reviews and stakeholder approvals.
- Assess emerging technologies, vendor products, and industry trends and provide recommendations for their potential application.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, technology leadership, project teams, and business stakeholders to determine appropriate technologies and solutions.
- Facilitate technical architecture reviews, decision-making sessions, and problem-solving meetings with stakeholders.
- Provide specialized architectural guidance to Enterprise Applications delivery teams.
- Develop technology roadmaps and recommendations supporting short-, medium-, and long-term technology transitions.
- Ensure solutions address data, security, resiliency, integration, and application development requirements.
- Support organizational change management, process redesign, knowledge transfer, and training activities as required.

Required Qualifications
- Mandatory: IBM Certified Maximo Advanced Deployment Professional – Asset Management certification.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 years of related and progressive IT experience, including solution architecture, technical design, engineering, software architecture, database design, and/or EAM platforms.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with IBM Maximo Asset Management.
- Strong experience across Maximo asset lifecycle capabilities, including inventory, contracts, purchasing, resources, work management, preventive maintenance, and security.
- Proven ability to design integration approaches and solutions that provide robust and secure interoperability.
- Experience implementing solutions on large-scale projects with strong knowledge of data, security, resilient systems design, integration, and application development.
- Solid experience with a variety of architectural and asset management technologies and frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and technical presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with public sector Enterprise Asset Management methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience with Agile project or program management.
- IBM Certified Maximo Solution Architect certification.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology transformation, organizational change management, process redesign, knowledge transfer, and training.

Compensation
Salary Range: $90.00 - $110.00 / hour
