OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Architect to support a major business transformation initiative. This is an on-site contract opportunity based in Moncton, New Brunswick, with an anticipated 12-month term and strong potential for extension. The successful candidate will focus on understanding and optimizing business capabilities, end-to-end processes, and cross-functional dependencies to enable improved business outcomes.
Working closely with business stakeholders, you will analyze current-state operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape future-state processes that drive efficiency, alignment, and organizational success. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in business architecture, process mapping, gap analysis, and facilitating cross-functional discussions to achieve desired business outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Lead business capability and end-to-end process mapping across multiple business functions.
- Document and assess current-state business processes, workflows, and operational dependencies.
- Facilitate future-state design sessions and workshops with business stakeholders.
- Identify process, data, and organizational gaps impacting business performance.
- Analyze upstream and downstream dependencies to ensure alignment across business areas.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to define business needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Develop recommendations for process improvements and business transformation initiatives.
- Create process maps, business architecture artifacts, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize opportunities and support implementation planning.
- Ensure business requirements and recommended solutions align with strategic objectives.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with business capability mapping and business architecture frameworks.
- Strong experience with end-to-end process mapping and process optimization.
- Proven ability to perform current-state assessments, future-state design, and gap analysis.
- Experience identifying process, data, and dependency issues within complex organizations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation or modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of business architecture methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS, or similar platforms.
- Business Architecture Guild, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF, or related certifications are considered assets.
