Junior ITV (Integration, Test & Validation) Specialist

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading global rail transportation company for a Junior ITV.
Specialist to join their Systems Engineering & V&V team.
Location: Hybrid – GTA, ON
Contract: 1 year (full-time hours)
Rate: Up to $33.33/hr
About the Role
Support the preparation of test plans, procedures, and reports to validate system and software requirements for rail signaling systems. You'll perform integration and testing activities both in-plant and at project sites, helping mitigate key commissioning risks for major transit projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system, subsystem, and software requirements to define validation methods and test cases
- Perform integration and test activities in-house and at project sites
- Prepare test procedures in line with ITV test plans
- Conduct commissioning tests in-plant and on-site
- Develop test automation scripts
- Prepare test reports documenting pass/fail results and identified issues
- Investigate test anomalies through data analysis and design documentation review
- Log defects and problem reports in the tracking system
- Support traceability analysis and design reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve integration issues and anomalies
What We're Looking For
- BASc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience testing embedded real-time systems (or equivalent hardware/software testing experience)
- Experience with real-time, mission-critical system testing
- Knowledge of railway signaling techniques
- Strong technical writing skills
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SelTrac or similar rail control products
- Understanding of how Test/V&V teams interact with other engineering departments
