In this role, you will leading the QA programs, CFIA compliance, Tier 1 retailer audits, complaint management, and supporting R&D initiatives.

Our client is a well known importer, wholesaler of premium quality frozen seafood products. They have a global presence and have been in this business for 30+ years.
Description
- Evaluate, optimize, and execute our existing Quality Assurance systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all value-add processing lines, driving continuous improvement initiatives to elevate overall seafood quality and maximize team efficiency.
- Complaints: Handle customer health and safety complaints, and quality related inquires.
- Regulatory & Audits: Act as the primary CFIA liaison and co-leading and passing Tier 1 global retailer factory audits.
- Sample Zone Management: Guarantees flawless product traceability, rigorous sensory standardization, and an audit-ready presentation standard for executive and client showcases.
- R&D Support: Support on the validation and sourcing of ingredients, finalize formulation ratios, and translate subjective culinary creations into strict, scalable data specifications for the production floor.

Profile
- Overall, 6+ years of relevant Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
- Extensive experience with process optimization and food safety, with a proven track record of auditing, refining, and managing existing QA frameworks to continuously elevate quality standards and team productivity.
- Proven ability to directly challenge the production department to ensure necessary standards and testing are strictly enforced.
- Hands-on experience passing Tier 1 supermarket audits (nice-to-have).
- Experienced managing CFIA regulations

- A competitive base salary ranging from $80000 to $90000 CAD annually.
