Original job description
Responsibilities
- Support sales order development, customer relationship management, and business expansion for assigned accounts to contribute to annual sales targets.
- Develop and coordinate sales action plans for key customer opportunities, and follow up throughout the entire process from customer requirements and technical discussions to quotation, project nomination, and SOP/mass-production delivery.
- Manage customer RFQs, quotation strategies, commercial negotiations, contract terms, and payment collection. Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collect and analyze industry trends, market developments, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Provide sales analysis and market insights to support business decisions.
- Manage sales forecasts, order execution, delivery issue coordination, and customer issue follow-up to improve customer satisfaction and long-term business stability.
- Establish and maintain customer records, project tracking mechanisms, sales reports, and sales management tools to improve the standardization of sales processes.
- Complete other business development and sales management tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in the automotive components industry. Experience working with or supporting automotive OEM customers is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, customer service orientation, teamwork, and good business and data sensitivity.
- Detail-oriented and responsible, with strong execution, learning agility, and ability to work under pressure.
- Able to accommodate regular customer visits and occasional short-term business travel.
- English is the primary working language. Proficiency in Japanese, Spanish, or Chinese is preferred., with strong spoken English skills.
- Strongly results-driven, with a primary focus on achieving business objectives and delivering outcomes.
